Complex Construction in a Demanding Environment

Implementation of a complex hospitality development in Mykonos, meeting high standards of precision, energy efficiency, and construction speed.

The construction of Sir Maximus in Mykonos represented a project of increased complexity, both in terms of ground conditions and the overall degree of technical and functional challenge. The steep topography, adverse weather conditions, and strict completion schedule shaped the framework of a demanding construction endeavor.

Responding to the high expectations of the Mykonos visitor and the specifications of a modern hospitality facility, we approached the project with a strong focus on detail, consistency, and continuous on-site supervision.
The complexity of the design and technical requirements led to the application of as-built solutions, with on-site adaptations and close collaboration with the architectural team of DEZONE Archi+.

During implementation, the following were applied:

– Advanced insulation and thermal façade systems, using next-generation materials (including nanomaterials) with high energy performance and environmental responsibility
– Development of a DHW network combining solar panels, heat pumps, and a triple pressure system
– Integration of an advanced biological treatment unit for greywater reuse in irrigation
– Selective use of natural materials – stone, raw wood, lime-based finishes – to achieve full harmony with the Mykonian landscape
– Custom-designed constructions for each room, featuring bespoke carpentry and integrated furniture structures
– Strict quality control procedures and continuous emphasis on construction details at every stage of the project

Sir Maximus was completed within the defined schedule, fully meeting the technical specifications and architectural intent of the design.
For Kanavos Constructions, it stands as a representative example of construction proficiency, technical expertise, and effective management of a complex hospitality project.
